Matt writes under the pen name M. Stephens Hall. He is the author of The Other Boy, a memoir about navigating his son’s brain tumor and special needs as a sensitive, intuitive father. He is an INFJ, a father of three, and a technology professional who has spent decades processing the world by writing it down. Here, that processing takes the form of poetry — spare, imagistic, and unafraid of the dark.
The name says everything. Ink is the act — deliberate, permanent, irreversible. Gravity is the force that pulls everything toward what matters — toward the ground, toward the truth, toward the things we carry whether we choose to or not. Between the two of them, nothing escapes lightly.
